Welcome to the second instalment of the Generation X series. At first glance you might think this is a PWL fest, there are a few tracks from the Stock, Aitken & Waterman stable but also consider the fact they were a defining part of 80's and 90's music.

I've also included one of my all time favourites - track 17. It's interesting that 15 years after its release, the message it sends is even more relevant today.

This year brings a number of anniversaries for me. I won't go into them all, but would like to elaborate on two:

Firstly: MardiGras.

This is the 30th Anniversary event and party. Music has such an important place in the festival, and becuase of this I believe it has been able to survive. For me, going to a dance party is about the music. It binds people together - for one moment in time everyone is happy to be in the same place. No hate, no war, just fun.

I have seen the style of music played at parties change significantly over the years, so I thought I'd do a mix which highlights many different tracks and themes with a few of my favourites thrown in as well. This means it's all over the shop - I could have spent weeks rearranging the tracklist! LOL Hopefully there will be something in there which raises a smile for you

Secondly: This is my 10th Mix.

I think this qualifies as a Milestone.. It isn't my best one; but I think it's my best one yet..

There are many different versions of this mix. It has grown over time and changed directions also. Hopefully, you can load this up, crank the volume and dance for while.

There are raw parts, the sound levels may not be totally consistent and I may have bitten off a bit more than I can chew on a couple of the transitions.. Ultimately, I'm proud to put my name to this.

Every track represents a special memory to me, some of them are over 20 years old and I still think they're brilliant! Call me crazy; that's ok - I've been called worse ;0)
